Installation, Parts, and 24/7 Garage Door Repair in San Diego
San Diego Garage Door Repair
Garage Door Medics has been providing top garage door repair in San Diego since 1990. While warm weather attracts many to San Diego, homeowners living near the coast experience excess moisture that causes rust and corrosion in garage doors. Moisture causes wood doors to contract and expand, making it difficult for the door to function properly. Garage Door Medics always values repair over replacement and prompt, professionalism for the best customer experience.

Garage Door Medics has 24 hour emergency garage door repair so that we can be there for you whenever you need us. Whether the door refuses to open or your door is off track your time is valuable to us and we’d like to be there for you when you need us.
Garage Door Maintenance
Regular annual maintenance on your garage door will help prevent costly repairs. Our signature annual maintenance check-up is the best way to maintain the largest moving door in your home. Garage Door Installation
Garage Door Medics installs a variety of premium garage doors brands. Many San Diego homeowners have existing one-piece wood garage doors. If maintained properly, the life of these doors can extend 20+ years. However, a new garage door can add more value to your home. Fiberglass garage doors combine the strength and durability of steel doors while also providing the beautiful finish of a wooden door, perfect for combating coastal weather. We offer free estimates for new door or panel replacement to find the perfect new garage door for your home.
Residential & Commercial Garage Door Repair
As the leader in residential and commercial garage door repair in San Diego, safety is our main priority. San Diego property managers and apartment complexes often have automatic entry gate systems with keypads or intercom systems to maintain. When these systems malfunction, repair is time-sensitive. We provide peace of mind whether you have an entry system or rolling sheet or steel doors on your property. Our priority is being readily available to make life easier for commercial property managers.
Garage Door Parts
When temperatures rise, power outages and power surges are prone to happen as HVAC systems are used to cool homes. These climate events cause torsion springs to break and circuit boards to malfunction. At Garage Door Medics we repair and service all brands of garage door openers including Genie, Chamberlain, Craftsman, LiftMaster, and more. We specialize in the repair or replacement of circuit boards, remotes, accessories, gears & sprockets, and more. We stock many types of replacement parts and new openers on our vans to provide same-day service and repairs for our valued customers.
Please note: Starting July 1, 2019 all new residential garage door openers installed in California will be required to have a battery backup. If you have any questions, please read our FAQ page for more information.

Highly professional, outstanding
Customer had an opener wall bracket pull out of the wall. Cut a little drywall to allow intimate proximity to the wood beam, and then ran longer lags into the bracket. Customer also accepted my recomendation for new springs, and some new bottom seal in rancho bernardo
Customer complained of a broken cable. Cable was fine, but both springs were broken. Upon inspection, all the moving parts were in perfect working order, and showing no signs of wear. Lubricated same, and reduced the close force for safety purposes in rancho penasquitos.
After hours service call. Top wheel out and top brackets bent. Hammered out roller carrys and new top rollers. The door wasn't scribed well and tracks not leveled. Added tape to right drum to increase diameter to take up the massive slack in the cable. Now there is barely any slack. Any thing more will require rehang of entire door. Lube and tune.
Replaced retainer and weather seal.
Parts being sent to customer directly from Multi-Sales
Replaced worn springs on garage door that was having a hard time going up. Door installed around 2004 and has had no maintenance. Did torsion conversion and changed out rollers. All new bearings on door. Also did tune up and lubrication service.
Could not get ahold of the office, I went to unit 37 to see if they had a problem and there retainer and seal is in perfect shape.
Garage door remotes and keypad not working periodically. Added Genie dual frequency kit and new keypad and programmed new remote. Also included tune up and lubrication.
Free quote today. Gave estimate to replace older motor and rail. Will need 3/4 hp equivalent DC Liftmaster chain drive with I-beam rail. Door is heavy currently and springs need to be changed. Recommended doing springs before motor to not do damage to newer motor.
Bad gate batteries due to ac power loss. Gfi outlet. Customer aware.
The existing weather seal is from a wayne dalton 9100 foam core door, which we do not carry, if they want to go ahead with it they will need the retainer as well, and we will have to take tension off the torque master to install it. I recommended purchasing some sort of weather seal from the store and attaching it to the missing part of the retainer.
Cleared memory in logic board, programmed two new remotes. Lube and tune service. Fixed an issue with mechanical limit switch. Really minor now in one of the intermediate sections.
Arrival time of 10am. Returning to install key and Alan setscrew for rear tandem gates. Pictures and measurements taken to have estimate put together for dual gate conversion. Estimate still on file for installation of new chain and sl3000 gearbox. Today to get gate operational, had to make new keys and install 4 setscrews that were not present. This resulted in the shaft on the reduction gear kit shift inwards. It bore a hole thru the cover, ground the shaft and key down. Once those were cleaned up, I was able to center the shaft and tighten down everything as best as possible. Videos on file. Tested gate 20 times and worked as it should. End time of 151pm.
I supplied and installed 2 8x7 first United doors with inside slide locks only. Job completed.
Garage door was not working at all. Attatched inner and outer trolley. Would not go down. Adjusted sensors, limits and force settings on opener. Included tune up and lubrication service. Door now working properly.

Make no mistake—we love our hometown and we will continue to bring local customers the very best experience possible. Why do we love San Diego so much? The world-class beaches, cultural variations in cuisine, and mild weather are three reasons. Our sunny city is home to the best authentic Mexican fish tacos and carne asada burritos in the United States. Mexico is just a short 30 minute drive to the border and offers endless fun throughout the year. Although the population is a few million, we love that you can always run into someone you know in our city. We live for surfing, yoga, sunsets, skateboarding, and BBQs with family and friends. The overall quality of life of a San Diegan is hard to top. No wonder U.S. News & World Report ranked San Diego as one of its Best Places to Live in the United States in 2018!
Even with all these amazing city attributes, the main reason we love San Diego is the people. That’s why Garage Door Medics is proud to serve homeowners and business owners like you in what we consider the best city in the world.
